On February 18, 2025, a significant press event took place at the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel’s Day & Night Ballroom, located on Rebat St – Al Garhoud in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This gathering was a part of the EU-funded campaign, “Information provision and promotion measures on rice in Jordan, Israel, United Kingdom, and UAE” – EURICE TC.

Organized under the theme “European Rice,” the event was meticulously arranged by the Agricultural Corporate Partnership of Thessaloniki, Easth S.A. It attracted a diverse group of professionals from the food industry, all keen to explore the subtleties of European rice. The program featured insightful keynote presentations from esteemed speakers such as Mr. Giannopoulos, General Manager of EASTH SA; Maria Nalmpanti, Head of Information & Promotion Projects at Novacert; and Mrs. Rasha Aboulela, who serves as the Food Ambassador for the campaign in the UAE. Their talks illuminated various aspects of European rice, greatly enhancing the attendees’ understanding and appreciation.

A live cooking demonstration highlighted the event, with two experienced chefs presenting four different rice recipes. This added a practical and interactive element to the evening, further engaging the audience.

The event culminated with a dinner showcasing a variety of dishes made with European rice, allowing guests to experience its distinctive flavors and qualities firsthand. The evening was not only informative but also a delightful gastronomic journey, highlighting the versatility and quality of European rice.
