As European Rice campaign is about to conclude its three year promotional journey to the market of Jordan, a press event was held in Amman, on Monday 28th of February 2022 at Movenpick Hotel. Among the participants were figures from the media and F&B wholesale industry, food and lifestyle bloggers, nutrition specialists, key retailers, distributors and importers of agricultural products, enjoying a conference regarding the characteristics, quality and benefits of European Rice.
The special characteristics, the way of production and the unique quality of European Rice were presented during the Press Event by selected speakers, such as Mrs. Maria Nalmpanti – Head of Information & Promotion Projects of NOVACERT LTD, the Implementing Body of the promotional campaign, Mr. Efthymios Fotinos – Vice President of EASTH SA (Union of the rice agricultural co-operatives), Mrs Dana Naffa, clinical dietitian and the food ambassador of European Rice program in Jordan Chef Nojoud!
As a conclusion to all those very interesting speeches, a live cooking show plus a tasting dinner summed-up the action of the night!
At the same time, from 25th to 28th of February 2022, an in-store promotion activity took place in 25 selected stores and supermarkets in Jordan. Specially trained promoters were providing all relevant information regarding European Rice to the consumers who visited the promotional stands of European Rice. During this activity, the consumers were informed regarding the special characteristics, the way of production and the unique quality of European Rice, filled the special research questionnaire of the program and took one free sample of 500 gr European Rice and one informational brochure.
The EU-funded promotional campaign “Information provision and promotion measures on rice in Jordan, Lebanon and the U.A.E.” with distinctive title “Europen Rice” by the AGRICULTURAL CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP of THESSALONIKI, EASTH S.A. was launched in March 2019 and includes several well-organized and coordinated actions in order to promote the European rice in these countries. It aims to spread awareness among general public, but also professionals, about the authenticity and unique production of the European rice as well as to enhance the competitiveness of the European rice produced in Greece.
