On February 20th, 2023, a Press Event was held in Dubai, at the Radisson Blue Deira Plaza Hotel. The event was held in the context of the EU-funded promotional campaign “Information provision and promotion measure on rice in Jordan, United Kingdom, Israel, and UAE” – EURICE, with a distinctive title “European Rice” by the Agricultural Corporate Partnership of Thessaloniki, Easth S.A.

The event was attended by guests from the food bucket, journalists and food bloggers. Ms. Maria Kounavi, Head of the Financial Controls, Inspection and Cooperation Directorate of the Greek Ministry of Agriculture, gave a speech, while the President of EASTH, Mr. Christos Tsichitas and the CEO of EASTH S.A., Mr. Kostas Giannopoulos made contributions. The event was coordinated by Mr. Konstantinos Astridis on behalf of NOVACERT Ltd, which is the Executive Agency of the programme.
Both speakers presented the potential of the producers, the comparative advantages of the product such as safety, quality and taste and the sustainability ensured in the rice growing areas in Greece.
The presentations of the event were concluded with the presentation of the Food Ambassador of the campaign, famous food blogger “Busy Avocado”, also known as Diana Zavzeatii, while the live preparation of three rice recipes (Greek Dolma, California Sushi Rolli and Mandarin Chicken Fried Rice) by the chefs of the Radisson Blu Hotel offered guests an excellent opportunity to taste European Rice.
The event was followed by a dinner and a 5-minute video of the program was shown after Ms. Kounavi’s greeting.
