In the framework of the European project with the distinctive title European Rice, the Agricultural Business Partnership of Thessaloniki took place at the 28th Gulfood exhibition in Dubai! The exhibition took place from February 20th to 24th at the Dubai World Trade Center!

Gulfood International Exhibition is the most important annual exhibition in the Middle East in the Food & Beverage sector and one of the leading exhibitions worldwide.

The 2023 edition of the show was the largest in all levels. It hosted more than 5,200 exhibitors, of which 1,500 were first-time participants, while a new hall was used and the exhibition space reached 10,000sq m. In 125 national pavilions and more, products from the entire range of the food and beverage sector and a host of innovative products were showcased. This year the exhibition was visited by over 134,000 trade visitors from 195 countries. The participation of trade visitors at this year’s event was unprecedented, with a 30% increase in attendance compared to last year.
The project’s stand was located in an easily accessible and strategic position in the pulses and grains sector, which saw a high number of visitors, and during the first four days of the exhibition a live cooking show was held in the specially designed area of the stand, with the chef inviting visitors to taste unique recipes showcasing European rice. A 5-minute video of the programme was played on the pavilion screen, while promoters handed out leaflets, informed visitors and helped them fill in the programme questionnaires.
